Video Doorbell S220

I think I need to read up on it again. We go in and out on our deck a lot and every time I get a notification. I feel the need to shut it off.

I do enjoy this camera. I would say it's not extremely fast response, but for no monthly fees, it does a great job for what we need.

I've had this doorbell for a while now and Ave since bought other eufy security cameras and they are all awesome. They're easy to install and connect easily to the home base. The quality both of the doorbell unit itself and the video quality is very good.I don't have a wire for my door, so having the wireless option issue awesome. It reminds you when the device battery is low and then you just disconnect it from the mount and charge it. It actually charges pretty fast - a few hours, and the battery lasts longer with the right settings in the app. The only thing is that it can be tricky to put back in the mount correctly, it usually takes me a few tries but I like that it's not too easy (so it's less likely to be removed by someone else). Just make sure you keep the little key somewhere you remember so you can disconnect it when it needs to be charged.Once I got the motion zone drawn correctly so it doesn't go off too often it works well and doesn't use up the battery too quickly. I like that you can snooze notifications for a specific amount of time, which is great when I'm doing yard work and would otherwise be setting it off constantly. Overall I'm really happy with it!

TL;DR: If you use HomeKit and you want to see the doorbell in HomeKit, look elsewhere.

They are putting two products in this box: HomeBase 2 and the S220 Doorbell. HomeBase 2 is HomeKit compatible, S220 is NOT. It even comes with instructions on how to add the HomeBase to HomeKit, but it's useless unless you buy ANOTHER camera that has HomeKit compatibility. They're literally selling a retail box that includes a product with a feature you can't use unless you buy an alternative to the camera already included in the box. It's incredibly shady.

I actually bought this because I have an S330 doorbell/lock/camera combo from Eufy that I'm sick and tired of waiting for HomeKit compatibility for (their support told me six months ago was coming "soon"). I bought this (and a separate lock from another vendor) because I thought it would remedy the issue. It didn't.

I packed this thing up and sent it straight back. Time to look at alternatives to Eufy.

I bought this system after we received a different video doorbell as a gift that would not connect to our Wi-Fi. It basically became an ornament on the front porch. This video doorbell, however, is incredible! It was so easy to set up and connect to everything. The app is easy to use. I love it. I also bought two indoor security cameras, which were easy to set up. Overall, this was a great purchase!
