Sort of OK - But Not Great

This 5-piece home alarm kit is alright (but not great) if you cannot fit a wired system, for instance in a rented house.

It is designed as a sort of "starter kit" to which additional door/window sensors, motion sensors, keypads, cameras and sirens can be added.

You need to use the free to download App in order to set things up. But this App is not, in any way, intuitive or easy to understand. However once you get the hank of the it the App does most of what you need.

You can add extra motion and entry sensors, as well as internal and external cameras. BUT you cannot add a second keypad, as they have been discontinued!

The kit ships with the old HomeBase 2 unit which you are bound to need to updated to the HomeBase 3 if you want to record anything from the cameras.

If you update to a HomeBase 3, the old HomeBase 2 unit becomes useless and cannot be even be used as a second alarm siren/sounder.

There are additional "Sirens" that can be added to the system to allow an alarm activation to be heard from other places not just from the HomeBase. Just be aware these "Sirens" are not very loud and do not accept an entry delay time to be set. So they alarm before you can disable the 5-piece alarm system.

    In summary:

A great idea, with well made hardware. But flawed due to a lack of proper add-on sirens, additional keypads and with a poorly designed App.

So sad it is bad. Kit included support, no support exists.

The set up was safe and easy. However this is day 2 and even in off setting the alarm still rang out. Another issue is that is says we are in practice mode, which we are not. I tried calling for support got nobody, told me to email in my questions, no response. I live chatted and they said someone will be emailing me in two hours, now 12 hours later nothing has been received, spam mail box was checked as well. The home kit is great, but no support despite the app and the website saying otherwise.

When will the home base be upgraded to version 3 on the Alarm Kit???

The Home Base 3 has been out for ages. It's highest time the Home Base Kit include this never model, yet it's still bundled with the older model 2. Would love to get one of these, but not with an older home base model. Please upgrade the home base!

    Don't Bother

System didn't work, customer service was useless, and no one ever got back to me with a solution to fix problem. Returned alarm. Extremely disappointed with the time and money wasted.

    Dont Waste your Money

Before we start, it should be noted that Eufy deletes all 1-star reviews. Notice they don't have any. Shady business. I have had your alarm system for months. The application is easy to use and I like that it arms/disarms the alarm by location. However, your alarm is completely useless and the professional monitoring services are a joke. Why?

In several jurisdictions across the United States of America, the local sheriff's office usually requires residents to purchase an alarm permit. Once the permit is acquired, an alarm permit number is issued. The sheriff's office tells the resident to provide the alarm permit number to the alarm monitoring company. If there is an alarm triggered and a response is needed, the alarm monitoring company would be REQUIRED to provide the alarm permit number to the sheriff's office dispatch or they will NOT respond. This literally just happened to me today and here is the sequence of events:

    10:57am - Alarm Triggered
10:58am - NoonLight text messages they were notifying police.
11:04am - Dispatch operator created and immediately closed the call for service. No deputies were dispatched due to NO PERMIT NUMBER PROVIDED BY ALARM MONITORING COMPANY.

Eufy Security and Noonlight are obviously not on the same page. You both do not offer any way for the consumer to provide you with an alarm permit number to provide to law enforcement so they will respond in case of an emergency. So what is the point of paying for professional monitoring if I can't even get a response? You're lucky it was a phone issue and not an actual emergency. What an absolute soup sandwich of a system.
