This replaced a ring system as the 4K and subscription-less system with local storage appealed.

Been very disappointed...the AI does recognise people but it also tells us a vehicle has been spotted every 15 mins when we park on the drive...car hasn;t moved it just seems to forget it's told us.

Battery life of cameras is great if they get sun if not then they need charging monthly...one of them bricked whilst charging and our supplier (and installer) replaced it.

Software is also dreadful...not intuitive and slow. Our cameras are on a wifi6 mesh and it can take 30 seconds to show the event it's alerted us about - so pointless. That's if it actually shows any of the events in the list.

Despite a £1K+ investment in this system I'm considering going back to Ring....if only because that will fill in between events with shots every minute or so which means we get a better picture of what's happening.... For instance we get a show of the BMW X5 robbing our neighbours gardeners van even though it was outside our activation zone.

I am replacing my current CCTV with Eufy as I found well built, in good price and overall most attractive on the market. It is not cheap like many companies there but compared to quality and performance it is good value

I spent several months investigating cameras & software to replace my existing system. I bough the Eufy 4k system. The hardware is excellent. The software is not so good. My main issue is that the cameras will not switch modes using Geofencing. I drive several hundred metres from my home park and wait to see if the system ‘arms’ based on my location, it does not. I have to physically log into the app the minute I do that voila it arms, I have to do exactly the same when I arrive home. Why? My previous system armed and disarmed without requiring any intervention from me. Disappointed, there is a lot of potential in the hardware & software alongside a subscription-less service.
