User Experience Improvement Program-Privacy Statement

Protecting your personal data is of great importance to Anker Innovations Technology Co., Ltd and its affiliates (collectively, “Anker”, “we”, “us”, and “our”). This Privacy Statement explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data as part of our User Experience Improvement Programthe "Program". Participation in this program is voluntary, and your consent is required by enabling the "User Experience Improvement" button in the app settings. We comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other applicable laws. By participating in this project, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Statement. 

1. Data Collection Scope

When you enable the "User Experience Improvement" button in the app settings, we may collect and store the following information:

A. Device-Generated Raw Data: video footage from cameras, sensor triggers (e.g., motion detection, sound recognition).

Important Notes:

Camera videos may include Personal Information (PI). We recommend enabling the Privacy Shield feature to protect your privacy during camera operation.

B. AI Inference Results: event descriptions, keywords, reasoning, ID recognition results (e.g., facial recognition), object detection outcomes, summary statements, and auto-clipping results.

C. Device Interaction Data: device status (e.g., on/off, alarm triggered), real-time response metrics (e.g., alarm activation time, duration).

D. User Interaction Data: configuration records (e.g., privacy mode settings, alarm thresholds), operational logs (e.g., enabling/disabling features, data export actions).

E. Function Feedback Data: satisfaction scores, feature suggestions, evaluations of AI inference results.

 

2. Legal Basis for processing

The legal basis for processing your personal information is your active consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by disabling the Program switch. Once the Program switch is disabled, we will no longer collect or process the data listed in Section 1 for the Program. However, we may retain certain data to comply with legal obligations. Please note that opting out may affect your rewards or discounts, subject to the rules of the program you are participating in.

 

3. Retention of Data

We will process your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the aforementioned purposes, including recording your data with your consent, improving algorithms, complying with applicable laws and regulations, or until you request the cessation of data retention.

 

4. Data Sharing

Your personal data can be shared with others to the extent we are under statutory obligation to do so and to fulfil services and agreements we have with you. We may share your personal data with others such as Anker Group companies, suppliers, business partners and authorities as detailed below.

We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. This includes technical service providers who operate and maintain our IT infrastructure and store data in order to be able to perform the purposes of our processing activities .

If we engage a third-party Processor to Process your Personal Data, the Processor will be subject to binding contractual obligations to: (i) only Process the Personal Data in accordance with our prior written instructions; and (ii) use measures to protect the confidentiality and security of the Personal Data; together with any additional requirements under applicable law. Please note that third parties and business partners may process your Personal Data in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms of service.

 

5. Cross-Border Transfers

Personal data that we collect from you may be transferred to and stored at a destination outside your country of residence. Transfers to these locations are only made if an adequate level of data protection exists, or if we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect the transfer of your personal data to these countries:
