E340 doorbell not compatible with the additional door bell chime T8740

It seems these are incompatible! even though you say they are. The app will not scan the device in. The instructions only mention the chime should be set up with the home base devise. I am returning the whole thing - this is just too hard to simply get a video doorbell
And a chime working together. Too many interdependencies that the you seem unable to clearly document

Motion, alert

There is no motion alert on the chime. What good is the chime if you don’t know someone’s outside your door until they ring the bell, if they ever do.

Flaky app, chime does not connect to router

I've had zero difficulty connecting up a multiple camera and homebase system, so I do have a clue as to what I'm doing. But no way is this T8023 MiniBase chime connecting to my router during set up. The app just fails to see the router's WiFi, and adding the credentials manually has no effect. Along the way you notice other defects in the app, like how the router encryption method does not match up between the drop-down selection and the entered value. Definitely beta-ware, needs more in-house testing.

Why is this so hard to set up?

I bought two of these with my doorbell and homebase system. I paired the video bell, two cameras and cannot for the life of me figure out how to get a simple chime to pair with my system.
